Holidays on the Mountainhotel with comfort in the family nature paradise Gerlosstein

Holidays in natural mountain scapes

Relax by walking through the forest, over the colorful meadows, in the magnificent alpine scenery or just follow your own goal. Leave the stress and daily troubles behind you and enjoy the spectacular panorama offered by the Zillertal mountains

It´s the small things which make a holiday perfect:  When people are astonished because they can collect herbs  in the forest or gaze in amazement at the stars in the night sky for the first time.

Enjoy real hospitality, pure nature grown salads from our own garden, water from our own spring, local delicacies and also a good homemade schnapps.

Our specialty is the “Zirbenschnaps” - a traditional alcoholic drink, which has a “curative effect on many diseases” ;-)

Excursion

The way to the mountains

Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people

are beginning to find out that going to the mountainsis going home;

that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations

are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers,

but as fountains of life.

Relaxation at 1650m above sea level with panoramic view

Take your time, just sit on the balcony of your room and watch the area, the cows and the forest fauna often nearby. Turn off your phone, TV, laptop and music, breathe deeply and consciously absorb these soothing impressions.

Enjoy some delicacies on our terrace and experience a beautiful sunset in the mountains, during your holiday on the Alp.

Make use of our offers for singing bowl therapy to let your soul really dangle. Please make your reservation in advance.

Have you ever kneipped  before?
Then it's time to take a trip to the Kneipp facility on the Hainzenberg, beautifully located on the edge of the forest, the facility invites you to linger.

Or float in the thermal water of the Zillertaltherme, a spacious sauna area. There you also find a salt cave and several swimming pools.

Hints and tips for planning your hike
  • The body needs time to settle in at altitude and on holiday in the alp, so do not rush on the first day
  • Never undertake hikes without careful planning. Take the weather into account.
  • The right equipment is vital! A small first aid kit is an advantage.
  • Have enough breaks on the way.
  • Good food and a lot of drinking are important, so take enough water with you. We also recommend having some chocolate or a muesli bar as an energy snack.
  • Smaller steps uphill make sense. The walking pace should be adapted to the terrain. If you can still talk normally while walking, you have the right walking pace
  • Stay calm in an emergency. The mountain rescue emergency phone number is: 140.
  • Do not forget to take in and enjoy the surroundings and impressions.
  • And now have fun and relaxation

Via ferrata Gerlossteinwand

The men from the mountain rescue Zell am Ziller put a lot of passion, sweat and work into the construction of the new via ferrata Gerlossteinwand. Over 450 m of steel cable, 300 handgrips, 230 cable clamps, 150 drill anchors and much more were processed.

The via ferrata is a great offer to bring nature-loving, active people of all ages closer to our beautiful mountains.
