Feel the freedom

Stop by one of the mountain huts for home made cheese, freshly baked bread and wonderful views from countless hiking trails. From the breakfast table into the mountains.... easy routes, challenging tours and summits are all close by. Hiking poles available to borrow (limited number).

Did you know that on the Hainzenberg and surroundings there are more than 400km of hiking trails?
In order to explore them all you will have to come here on holiday often.

Via Ferrata - climbing

On the Gerlossteinwand 2166m

The via ferrata is a great way for nature loving active people of all ages to get close to our beautiful mountains. With the right equipment, secured by a steel rope from beginning to end, you can climb the rock face using a combination of steel fixtures and rocky ledges. Via ferratas allow hikers to get a taste of the verticles.

We are partners with Salewa Shop Mayrhofen. You can hire equipment directly with us.

There are numerous via ferratas in Zillertal.

Alpine farm paradise - Gerlosstein

Family tip

Here you'll find the farm playground with large tractor, slides and many more attractions. Our hotel is also the starting point for the family tour to the 'Alm-Tribüne' – a flat 45 minute walk takes you to an alpine grandstand, a viewing point with incomparable view of the Ziller Valley. Wayside stations and info boards tell of the history and culture of the Zillertal.

A 5 minute walk gets you to the alpine farm petting zoo with rabbits, ducks, chickens, goats, ponys….

Holiday on the alpine farm is holiday in nature for the whole family.

Water playground

Kneipp cure at the hotel

Visible from the terrace you'll find our water playground with Kneipp cure facilities.
A large water wheel, water ways, lots of stones and a pump attract kids to come and play. The flowing mountain water refreshes tired hikers' feet.

Almflieger - Gerlosstein

Action, fun and pure adrenaline

Der Almflieger is a giant flying fox tour which runs over 4 routes. This exhilarating ride is guaranteed to be unforgettable – a special experience with a birds eye view.

The route is 738 m in length and reaches almost 50 km/h, whizzing down over the alpine meadows of Gerlosstein. The Almflieger runs up to 4 times a day and is right next to the hotel.

Rainy day program

There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

Here in Zillertal and in Tirol there is plenty to do and see on rainy days – or you may choose to take some time out in the panorama sauna.
