An old tradition, signaling to all locals and guests the summit mass taking place the following day. Volunteer firemen and the mountain rescue squad help together to light up the mountains. Be there, when torches are lit in the evening and magical lights illuminate the alps.
Summit mass:
the following morning the summit mass takes place on the Gerlossteiwand mountain. This traditional annual event is staged in June, regardless of the weather.
The mass is celebrated by Dr. Ignaz Steinwender.
In the case of bad weather mass at Berghotel Gerlosstein.
With musical support by the church choir and Zell am Ziller brass band.
Access via Gerlosstein cable car in Hainzenberg.
