Winter in Panorama Berghotel Gerlosstein

The Berghotel Gerlosstein is right in the middle of the Gerlosstein family-friendly ski area of the Zillertal Arena - up at 1650 metres.

Directly from the hotel there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy this winter paradise. Skiing, tobogganing, snow tubing, snow shoeing or ski touring – there is something for everyone here! Winter activities also include aprés ski with Glühwein in the Sonnenstüberl Arbiskogel as well as relaxing at the hotel next to the fireplace.

Skiing

Where movement is a way of life.

The Gerlosstein ski area is open daily from 9:00 til 4:15. Perfectly groomed pistes of varying levels of difficulty (from blue to black), a home run of over 900 m in altitude and a beginners piste with magic carpet await you. Experience the enjoyment of skiing away from the masses.

Tobogganing

Adventure, sport and fun

The longest natural toboggan run in Zillertal starts directly at the hotel. The 7 windy kilometres are open daily from 10:00 til 4:30 and are lit up at night. Hotel guests can hire toboggans directly at the Berghotel. Toboggan run is free with a valid lift pass.

From Monday to Saturday the toboggan run is open from 7:45 pm til 1:00 am if there is adequate snow coverage. The lift up on the Gerlosstein cable car is possible til 9:15 pm. Your ADVANTAGE as hotel guest: you get to be the first on the freshly prepared toboggan run.
NOTE: CLOSED ON SUNDAYS!!

Snowtubing

what is a winter holiday without snowtubing?

Fun and action guaranteed: snowtubing is the new thing in the Gerlosstein ski area. There are two especially prepared pistes (approx. 200m) on which all winter fans can try this activity! And the best thing: use of the tubing runs is free - open daily from 9:00 til 4:00.

Snowshoeing

Walks of varying lengths are waiting to be discovered. For experienced snowshoe walkers we have a few tour tips with magnificent views. In the Berghotel Gerlosstein we have equipment for hire (snowshoes, poles,…).Tours start directly from the hotel.

Ski touring

enjoy untouched nature

Climb the snowy mountain summits. Glide through powder snow back down to the valley. Look back at your tracks in the snow.

Enjoy the view and reconnect with yourself. There are numerous ski tour routes close by.

Beginners and experienced, there is a tour suitable for everyone. Every Monday and Wednesday - SKI TOUR MEETING POINT at the Sonnenstüberl Arbiskogel.

Cross-country skiing

It's all about rhythm...

in the middle of the breathtaking mountain backdrop of the Zillertal

The closest cross-country tracks are in Gerlos and Königsleiten, for example the Schönachtal track:
the Schönachtal track starts at the Hotel Oberwirt on the other side of the stream, in front of the Appart Gitti. The track follows 2 km then continues left over the wooden bridge, then on the right hand track towards the village. Just before the road the track turns left passed Traumhotel Alpina, continues along the Schönach stream to the Schönachhof and on to the bridge. Most of the track is also prepared for skating.

Feel like a change from skiing? These recreational activities might be for you. The closest ice skating rink with curling lanes is in Zell am Ziller. Open from beginning/middle of November til beginning of March (weather permitting!)
